Get the recent price of the stock you you want to track.

Substract the recent price from the price the stock was brought at.

Multiply that number by the number shares.

Put a dollar sign infront of the number and that is your gain (if it is positive) or your lost (if it is negative).

Get the recent price of the stock.

Take that price and multiply it by the number of shares.

That is your value of investment.
